I hope that you can assist me in resolving this issue promptly. Upon reviewing my recent bills, I have noticed a significant discrepancy in the water consumption. In the month of April, the recorded consumption was approximately 30 gallons, while in May, it unexpectedly increased to 35 gallons. These figures are undoubtedly incorrect, as such a volume of water cannot be reasonably consumed by a single individual. To address this concern, we immediately contacted our leasing office, as we suspected a possible emergency situation or water leakage within our house. They promptly responded by inspecting the property thoroughly but found no signs of any leaks or abnormal water usage. This observation leads us to believe that the issue may lie with the meter or its readings, as it seems to be continuously running even when the house is unoccupied. Given our status as students, it is financially burdensome for us to pay the exorbitant amount of approximately $1000 for water alone. This kind of billing discrepancy is highly abnormal, as it greatly surpasses our electricity bill, which amounts to approximately $100 per month. I kindly request your immediate attention to this matter and urge you to investigate the issue thoroughly. I have attached a copy of the bill for your reference. I have a problem on my property with drainage. The drainage of my property runs off naturally into my neighbor's yard. His address is 3514 Morningside Drive. When a storm comes, his back yard pools and remains there for a few days until it is absorbed into the ground. I discussed with one of the neighbors how this might be resolved and volunteered to help pay for pipes that would carry the water that pools in their yard to the ditch along Morningside Drive. The neighbor didn't think that would work. Now they have dug out a deeper hole in their yard and are installing a "Sponge Garden." My understanding is that this will retain water and will not allow my yard to drain. This area has backed up into my basement in the past and flooded it. It seems to me that this will occur more easily with the installment of the "Sponge Garden." I appeal to the city of Bloomington to send engineers to come and see if there is some way that water can be drained into the ditch along Morningside Drive.

This building has a water leak in the main supply in the pit in front of the building. It is has been reported by fire inspection company while looking into repair of their line. It is believed to be before the meter and on the city side.

As can be seen in the photo there are three dry creek beds (swales) feeding the area where the runoff water is pooling during a heavy rain fall. Cause of the pooling is the drain through a small ridge is eroded and clogged up. City needs to remedy this issue.

My basement has flooded due to street runoff twice within the last 7 years and has ruined my furnace and water heater. I am requesting the city pour a curb along the front of my street where my house is facing to prevent future damage.
