I am having an issue with the pipes in my house vibrating for the last two weeks. The issue started on Feb 19 and has persisted since. The issue only happens during the day when the temp seems to be above 35. It happened Friday and Saturday over the weekend, but not on Sunday. I can hear tings in the wall that I never heard in the past. I have checked the water meter in the yard and over a time frame of 2-3 hours during the vibration there is 0.00 gal of water in use, but I have noticed when the pipes are vibrating my neighbors water meter is going up fast even when nobody is home, but when the vibrating is not going on their usage is none. It sounds like it could be air in the pipes or a high water pressure. I have flushed all pipes in my house and then turned the water back on and the issue is not fixed. Called a plumber and they could not figure out the problem.

Good morning. My name is Kevin. About two months ago I put in a ureport stating that my pipes were vibrating. You sent someone out and they checked and there was no air in the pipes. Since then I have had two plumbers out and also American Leak Detection to verify there was not a leak. They have not been able to find any issues with anything in my house. They thought it was an issue with the new water heater that was put in. They removed the water heater from the water system and the issue continued. The issue that I am having is that sometimes I will hear vibrating in the pipes and other times it will sound like a car engine running. Sometimes it will last a few seconds and then stop other it will last hours. The starts randomly. I will go to bed and nothing and when I wake up it will be making the noise. The issue will stop once I shut the water to the house off. Also if I check my water usage, I am using no water. If I check my neighbors which is in the same hole as mine their water meter is running about a gallon a minute when my pipes are making the noise. When my pipes are quiet their water is not moving at all. If you have any ideas what could be causing the issue please let me know. Dogs are kept outside on the porch for 8+ hours a day with no shelter, food, or water. They constantly bark, wanting to get away from the cold and rain. When the owner does let them in it’s only 1 dog at a time and it’s never for very long.
