I understand hands being tied with the homeless population but I find it very unnerving and scary that the tent campers next to transit are standing at the fence of the parking lot and peeing while the employees of transit are present and across the street where there is a park which could have children present…..I’m so upset that this is allowed to continue and I can’t walk into the office without being exposed to some random man

Hello - I live up the street from the B-line bridge that crosses over Grimes. What started as one tent has become a full-blown camp, and the conditions have caused me to feel unsafe using that portion of the B-line trail. The last time I used the bridge the urine smell was quite strong and there was a man having a bad trip outside the encampment. We've been awoken by yelling and general disturbance from members of the camp and their dogs, and the general disturbance has caused me and several neighbors with kids to not use that portion of the B-line (not using the Switchyard Park playground and dog park, or driving there instead of walking). It's reached a point that we're uncomfortable - I hope I don't sound unsympathetic to their situation. I don't have a good solution either!

Regarding your change of name of Good Friday in the name of diversity. You seem to think diversity is a one way street, favorable only to non-Christians. You are a fool if you think that your name change will do anything more than make you anathema to, possibly, the majority of your constituents. See what you attain by diversity then!

the vote to remove the homeless camp at Seminary park was, by any moral opinion, disgusting, reprehensible, and downright evil. how dare you sit in your offices and make the decision to leave hundreds of people without any form of shelter, on the streets, at the beginning of winter. i understand an alternative was given night of, but those people are in the position they’re in because the government has proven time and time again that it will fail them when they need the help. you have proven this point to them once again. they had no reason to accept your handout, shame on all of you.

Comment concerning public input on projects and surveys Greetings! I was wondering if it would be possible to have a page on the city's site that conglomerates all public input for surveys and city projects? During 2020 there were/are several surveys (MPTO, Climate change, etc.) and projects for public input (hospital site, 7-line, etc.). My thought is that it would be convenient for the public if there was a link on "https://bloomington.in.gov" web page that links to a web page that has all active surveys and city projects that are taking public input. I have been ill with non covid-19 pneumonia and sinus infection for several weeks. I could not have gotten through this period of time if not for the amazing team at Walmart and delivery partners. I know it’s not over but I am feeling so grateful this morning. I am high risk given I’ve been so sick, I’m over weight and I have asthma. They very likely have saved my life. First responders are recognized and given honors by cities all the time so I’m suggesting that someone reach out to or Walmart and all of our local grocery stores at some point so we can bestow some sort of award or honor to these men and women. I’m sure your offices are spread thin right now but at some point I’m the near future I hope this idea will be visited. I would be happy to donate my time any way I can be of use. I am excellent on the phone as I managed a local call center for several years. These workers are not paid well. I believe they need and deserve a huge boost in morale. Local businesses might be willing to give back to them in some way via a discount or free meal etc. Ago at least be acknowledged for the great worth of their hard work and diligence is so very important!
