Benjamin Wolter, the person who lives at this address, is running an unlicensed dog pet sitting and training business from his home. The photo posted is taken from their business Facebook “Emerald Isle Canine” and is the inside of his garage. The brown door you see in the photo leads to a back room of the garage where the dogs are crated. I am submitting this report because I am concerned for the safety of these dogs spending time in an unlicensed and un-inspected garage. I have personally been to this place but am submitting anonymously because the owner, Benjamin Wolter, has a documented legal history of harassment so I am scared to attach my name to this complaint. Animal Control & Neglected Pets

3101 N Kingsley DR

Case Date:
9/20/2020

This morning, I was attacked by a dog at 3101 N Kingsley Dr, Bloomington, IN 47404. The property owner left the dog in the front yard unattended while he was inside the home. I hollered for the owner when I saw the unrestrained dog coming toward me. The owner came out of the house through the front door and went towards his dog as it approached me. His dog attacked me in the road before the owner was able to restrain him and put the animal back in the home. Last week, my daughter was attacked by the same animal at the same location. I was not present when she was attacked but she described a similar situation of the dog being unattended outdoors and the owner was nowhere to be found. I would like to formally file a complaint about this pet owner and request an animal control officer communicate with him about his rights and responsibilities, as well as consequences for not abiding the rules.

Bus Services (Bloomington Transit)

3131 N Valleyview DR

Case Date:
5/23/2022

The city bus routinely drives through the Fritz Terrace neighborhood too fast. I don’t have a radar gun but the speed limit is 20 and they are obviously going over. On Saturday 5/21 sometime around 3:00 I believe the bus hit and killed a neighbor’s dog near 3131 Valleyview and continued their route. I did not witness the event but was told by a neighbor the bus stopped for a moment at the same location the dog was hit, near the same time, then continued on. I would like the transit department to identify who the driver was and see what the story is on why they did not stop and try to help or identify the owner of the dog, or if I am mistaken and the driver claims it was not them and perhaps maybe they witnessed the event and could provide more details. Even without the issue of who hit the dog, the bus needs to slow down and not exceed the 20 MPH speed limit. There are lots of kids in this neighborhood, the streets are narrow and the curve at the top of the hill is a blind spot for oncoming traffic. Please address this issue before someone gets hurt or killed.
