Bloomington Parks and Recreation hosts a celebration of art and community with the displays, sales, and demonstrations of visual arts and fine crafts by local and regional artists.

Local and regional artists apply, and are selected through a juried process, to participate in A Fair of the Arts.

A Fair of the Arts is held in conjunction with the Bloomington Community Farmers' Market the second Saturdays of the Market season. Admission is free.

  • July 14, 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • August 11, 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • September 8, 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • October 13, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Information for Vendors

Artists must set up by 7:30 a.m. and may not tear down until 1 p.m.

    Bloomington Parks and Recreation invites local artists to apply to participate in A Fair of the Arts, a juried arts and fine crafts fair. A Fair of the Arts is held at Showers Plaza, an outdoor festival site adjacent to City Hall at Eighth and Morton Streets. Accepted local and regional artists display, demonstrate and sell their art on the brick plaza during the Bloomington Community Farmers' Market.

There is a non-refundable $15 annual application fee in addition to a $55 booth fee per fair.  Commissions are not collected on sales.

    Artists are selected through a competitive jury process and acceptance is not guaranteed. To receive full consideration, applications must be received by February 16, 2018 at 5 p.m.
