About Schooner Creek Farm

Gourmet Classics and Heirloom Oddities for Every Palate. Market Garden & CSA.

Schooner Creek Farm was established in 2011 by husband and wife team, Doug and Sarah. Along with our three children, together we produce high quality, nutritious food- vegetables, herbs & flowers- without the use of any synthetic chemicals, fertilizers, or GMO's. As passionate “no-till” growers, we seek to nurture and preserve the precious topsoil by utilizing layers of straw, hay, manure, and minerals (nature's fertilizers) to produce vitamin-rich food for our farmer’s market customers and CSA members.

You'll find that we grow a wide variety of heirlooms. Some of our specialties include our Spring Lettuce Mix, Sugar Snap Peas, Sweet Carrots, French Breakfast Radishes, Romaine and Culinary Herbs from spring to summer & Poblano Peppers, Heirloom Onions, Ruby Okra, 'Costata Romanesco' Italian Heirloom Zucchini and of course Juicy Heirloom Tomatoes by summer... In summer and fall, you'll enjoy our luscious Herbs, Eggplant, myriad Winter Squash, Sweet Potatoes and more.

Schooner Creek Farm has been featured in local publications such as "Our Brown County" and "The Brown County Democrat" as a premier farm of the region and we have been active in the sustainability & local food movement for over a decade, supporting and donating to non-profits such as Sycamore Land Trust, Bloomington Community Orchard, Local Growers Guild, & more. Our farm has also proudly hosted Indiana University students and other local organizations for farm tours. Check out our website for more information about how to join our Buying Club & CSA, which serves South Central Indiana, including but not limited to, Nashville & Bloomington.
