Summary: This map layer contains constructed bicycle and pedestrian facilities within the City of Bloomington including multi-use trails, side paths, connector trails, park hiking and fitness trails, mountain bike trails, and some pedestrian paths on private property not maintained by the City of Bloomington.
Use: This layer is primarily accessed for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production.
Supplemental Information: Map data updated yearly or otherwise by request. May be missing some recently constructed sidepath and park trails. Pedestrian paths on private property only included on request by Planning and Transportation staff for connectivity analysis.

Source: Created from marked up paper maps from the Planning Department staff and digized using aerial photography back drop. Some park trails in wooded area supplemented with GPS waypoints collected on personal hand held GPS units by Parks Department interns or volunteers.
   This data set as been processed from part of the source data and/or combinations of multiple source data sets to fit the data theme.
Quality Rating: Fair
Complete: Partial
Accuracy: Positional accuracy is good where facility can be viewed from aerial imagery. Trails and paths in wooded area are approximate locations.
Status: Current
Maintenance: Maintained by ITS GIS staff on request from Planning and Transportation or Parks staff at least yearly. Pedestrian paths not maintained by the City are not maintained.
