About Hi-Acre Farm

Hi-Acre Farm started in 1964 by Vernon Sigman and his family, originally it was a dairy farm. In 1984 the dairy cows where sold.  Over the years, ground was sold off to where we are today with 12 acres. In 2011, Jim and Patricia took over the farm after moving from Sedona, Arizona. The farm had been converted into an orchard and produce farm.

Since 2011 we have increased the Orchard from 65 apple trees to nearly 150 which includes over 20 varieties of apples. We raise heirloom apples such as Arkansas Black,  Winter Banana, Blushing Gold and many more. The produce part consists of 2 acres and 2 greenhouses. A wide variety of vegetables are raised for 3 markets. During the market season we attend not only the Bloomington Community Farmers' Market but on Wednesday Bargersville and Sunday in Nashville.  Please follow us on Facebook at Hi-Acre Farm.
