2019 Teen RoundTable Seeks Participants

Bloomington, Ind. - The City of Bloomington Commission on the Status of Children and Youth (CSCY) is seeking applications for the 2019 Teen RoundTable.  A program launched during Bloomington’s Bicentennial in 2018, the Teen RoundTable convenes young people to share their thoughts and ideas about Bloomington and their vision for the future of the community. Over four Sundays from October 20 through November 10, a group of ten high school students will gather at the Monroe County Public Library to share their ideas about Bloomington now and in the future. These ideas will, in turn, be shared with the City’s policymakers for their consideration.

“When we’re talking about their future, and what life is going to be like for the adults of tomorrow, their voices really should be included in the conversation,” said Isadore Torry, CSCY Commissioner and chair of the Teen RoundTable.

Application forms are available online or in the Community and Family Resources Department at City Hall (401 N. Morton, Suite 260), Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. The application deadline is Friday, October 18 at 5 p.m. 

All Teen RoundTable participants and their families are invited to attend and be recognized at the SWAGGER Awards program at City Hall on Thursday, November 7.
