The City of Bloomington announces the trial closure of Kirkwood Avenue between Indiana and Grant Streets to vehicular traffic from Friday afternoon, June 19, through Monday morning, June 22. Sidewalks between Indiana and Grant Streets will be closed to pedestrian traffic, allowing restaurants to expand their seating to sidewalks and to provide patrons with a safe distance during their meals. Users of the space should continue to maintain appropriate physical distance while enjoying the Kirkwood streetscape. Pedestrian traffic will be allowed directly on Kirkwood during the trial closure. N. Grant Street and N. Dunn Street will remain open for through traffic.
