Position Description

Incumbent serves as Special Events Attendant for Parks and Recreation Twin Lakes Recreation Center with the responsibility to assist in the concessions area to take food from patrons, collects monies, prepares and distributes food. Incumbent also serves in the facility operations area with responsibilities to clean the facility before, during and after events/tournaments.


High school education or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Training/Special Skills

Ability to interact effectively with children and adults. Must be mature and have good judgment. Must display integrity, and take pride in preserving the safety and well-being of participants at all times. Ability to empathize and understand the lives of at-risk youth and display passion and enthusiasm for inspiring participants to dream big. Must have strong planning skills and the ability to implement a variety of recreational activities. Ability to work independently, supervise participants, and take direction from the Site Supervisor. Must be self-motivated and disciplined to carry out protocols and policies and work as a member of a large team.

Experience/Special Skills

Ability to work with the public and knowledge of cleaning and maintenance equipment. Custodial experience preferred.


10-20 hours per weekend Friday – Sunday 7 a.m. – 12 a.m.; including holidays


$9.73 per hour.
