Position Description

Responsible for the management of on-site pool operations. Interprets and enforces all Department rules and policies; compiles and balances daily pool deposits; supervises employees and programs; ensures facility safety and cleanliness; maintains accurate records; treats accidents and injuries; fosters good public relations, enforces rules and safety policies; all other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Education

High school education or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Some college preferred.

Training/Special Skills

Management/supervisory training and public relations skills helpful; demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively with the public. Must be able to handle situations requiring immediate judgement and decision making.

Experience

Previous experience with private or municipal aquatic programs preferred; supervisory experience required.

License/Certification

Lifeguard training preferred. First Aid, CPR-PRO and AED required. These courses are offered by the Department. Candidates may take the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course offered by the Department.  

Hours

Approximately 30-50 hours per week, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to attend all department pre-season training programs conducted in May.

Salary

$11.61-$12.88 per hour
