Bloomington Parks and Recreation is here to encourage physical activity of all kinds to help support healthy habits through the winter.

Jumpstart your January and new year’s goals by joining the 2021 Winter Wander Challenge. The Challenge begins January 1. Complete 2,021 minutes of physical activity by March 31 at your own pace. That’s only 155 minutes a week!

What "counts" as physical activity? You can walk, bike, run, hike, build a snowman, shovel your driveway, join an online workout, and so much more! All physical activity counts toward your total.

Registration fee is $15 per person, and is for all ages. Participants will receive the exclusive 2021 Winter Wander challenge beanie (adult size).

Participants will also get access to our private Strava group to share workouts, routes, and non-scale victories (celebrating things that help you reach your health goals that have nothing to do with your actual weight) along the way. Use Strava to track your total minutes, or submit your activity minutes via email.

“Mini-challenges” will be held throughout the program. Share your progress for your chance to win prizes each week!
