Located in Rev. Ernest D. Butler Park at the intersection of West Ninth and North Fairview Streets, the Butler Park Community Garden enables gardeners to learn and practice the techniques of organic gardening in rented plots. Now in its eighth season, the garden includes 38 organic in-ground plots available in two sizes and three raised beds for rent. This garden area also supports the Community Gardening programÂ’s partnership with Mother HubbardÂ’s Cupboard, a local food resource center, by providing space for them to maintain a hoop house, expand their youth and gardening internship programs, and produce more food for those in need.
