An ink-black night with leering jack-o-lanterns and crisp cider set the stage for an evening of live storytelling beneath the stars. A Halloween-time tradition for more than 36 years, the Festival of Ghost Stories features haunting tales of ghosts and horror that will tingle the spine. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and dress warmly to avoid the chill as seasoned storytellers spin their tales in the dark. Best suited for adults, teens, and older school-age children; may not be appropriate for younger children. For weather-related updates, call the Community Events Hotline at 812-349-3754. COVID-19 Safety Protocols: Audience size for this outdoor event is limited to 150 people. Each person attending the event must reserve a ticket. Please fill out the online form at for each individual person who will attend with you (including children). If you are parent, please use your email address to register your children. All attendees over 2 years of age must wear a face mask while in the event viewing area. Physical distancing of at least 6 feet between people is required. Hand sanitizer stations are available at the event. Please bring your own seating.
