Restorative Yoga is a gentle class with the aid of props: blocks, bolsters, blankets and straps. The sequence typically involves only 5-8 poses held for longer periods of time with as little physical effort as possible. The practice is about slowing down and opening the body through passive stretching. Restorative Yoga focuses on relaxation and renewal, quieting the mind, boosting the immune system and releasing deeply held tension. This class is particularly beneficial for those suffering from anxiety, insomnia, headaches and other stress-related conditions. All experience levels welcome!
