I own the property located at 1005 N. Jackson St, 47404. Shortly after purchasing the property the house next door burned down. We felt very fortunate that our house was not damaged. The house was demolished, however, shortly after demolishing the house someone has set up a tent on the lot and multiple people have been seen using the tent. There is trash surrounding the tent. Though we have not seen a fire there is what appears to be a makeshift fire pit. We use this property as a short term rental and it has the proper permits. I am personally concerned about the safety of my wife who spends some of her days working on improvements within the property. Obviously concerned about the impact on our ability to rent the home with the above described situation. I'm not sure what can be done but after reviewing the code it does not seem like this fits the intended use of the property. I am also empathetic to the rise of homelessness in our community, but this is a residential neighborhood and for the safety of all community members something should be done. We dodged a serious issue when the house burnt down and worry we may not be so lucky if something happens again. Thanks for your attention to this matter, please reach out with any questions. The house is unsafe. Previous complaints on this address have not been addressed. They have a tarp covering a hole on the garage roof. There is trash all over the yard items that they've pulled from the trailer like a toilet that not just sits in the yard. They made a chicken wire fence to keep their dogs in but the dogs have gotten out numerous times(animal control is aware of the problem with the dogs). If they are renting from the owner then it didn't pass any kind of inspection to become a dwelling that could be rented out. It is also possible that they illegally turned the water back on to the trailer.

Please, clean up our neiborhood. I am talking about West Graham drive in Broadview. My taxes are increased and still our neighborhood has the scourge of 913 West Graham Drive. There are many unrelated people living at this address. More than the limit. The area in front of and beside the house has cars parked not on the street but in the yard. There have been many add in’s to this property and we saw no display of a building permit. Neighbors believe this is a drug house. People park their cars in the middle of the street obstructing traffic when visiting this property. Make our neighborhood safe again. Worst city government in 50 years.

The security fence set up to hinder people from crossing RR property at Dunn has been cut through and people are now walking across, even when the train is coming. This necessitates the train conductors to blow their horns loudly to clear the tracks at this location when they pass by (at all hours). When "The Standard" is full of 1000+ entitled undergraduates, they will likely all use this passage to make their lives easier. Who is actually responsible for maintaining the wall/fencing that blocks illegal and dangerous crossing of the tracks stretching from Walnut to Indiana Avenues? It was not so bad when Brownstone was still there, but since the beginning of the "Standard" construction project (that has been going on sporadically for two years now), the barrier has slowly degraded. Is this a matter for the police or the "Standard" property owners or the City or the adjacent property owners? We fear that there will be a high rate of late-night, drunken crossings coupled with the likely concomitant periodic deaths if something is not done about this. Does Bloomington rally want to continue to be known for a place that allows (encourages) dangerous and unhealthy behavior? It's bad enough that scooters are allowed (how many deaths have they caused so far?) - does the City now want there to be regular RR accidents that result in beheadings, or worse?

Current apartment new complex just east of Target is operating and blocking Clarizz northbound without any road markings at Clarizz and ,3rd. Creating very dangerous backup. Make sure they get proper road closure precautions in place. Also why were they authorized for a huge ugly parking garage when we are trying to prioritize bike and ped? They're all going to be driving instead of bussing to campus etc created a mess at an already busy area of town. And several more are coming on E 3rd? How about actually planning and deterring such traffic? New construction is the ideal time to protect public transit, not personal vehicles where there are already concerns.

Not sure what category this falls under, and not clear who owns the property (private or RR.) Can the City cleanup garbage dumps that were created by vagrants, or at least enforce that attention be paid to them? There are syringes, etc. lying in the woods close to a main thoroughfare. Some drunk could wander in there at night and be injured.

While living at Terra Trace (321 E. 14th St) from 2020-2022 there were a lot of problems but one that should absolutely not be dismissed. I am disappointed that no one seems to realize the seriousness of this. On Aug 17, 2021, my neighbors set their stove on fire. Once I noticed the smoke smell, I went to the hallway to see what was going on and my neighbor explained what happened. They didn't know what to do so I pulled the fire alarm and it did not go off. I had to alert everyone by knocking on their doors to let them know the building wasn't safe and we needed to get out. I was told my claim was false and inaccurate. After some minor internet searches, I found that there was a fire here in 2011 (if I remember correctly) that killed a student. After finding this out, I knew I had to do more. I feel as if this apartment complex needs to be reevaluated for safety of the residents still living there. I will also be willing to provide more information, videos, etc about this incident.
