The intersection of Moore's Pike and Smith Road is dangerous coming towards the intersection going north on Smith Road. There needs to be a stop ahead sign put out. During Winter we have cars drive into our front yard close to our house from having to slam on breaks to avoid a collision.
Dunstan and Allendale Dr. there is a 4-way stop sign. This is also the location of a City bus and MCCSC school bus. When walking from West to East down Allendale Dr. cars are at exceeding speeds over 25 MPH, and today while kids were are the bus stop multiple cars "rolled-through" or did not even stop at the stop sign. I believe this is a safety for our kids. Can there be consideration for speed reduction, traffic calmers, or speed bumps in our neighborhood?
There has been a white Lincoln car broken down on the side of the street with a temporary license plate that expired in September. The vehicle obviously doesn't run and is turning what would be a 2 lane road into a one lane road. Please send an officer out to mark it for removal as its causing traffic limitations on the street. The car is located on South Sowder Sq.
I was taking my child to school at University this morning. There has been a crew working on the power lines on 10th street. This morning they seemed to be getting a later start. It was about 8:25 and the trucks were just arriving. We sat for 10 minutes waiting for traffic coming from the east on 10th street. Several children were late to school because it seems the company didn't have a handle on the traffic control. I may have missed it but I saw no one managing traffic at Smith or on the eastside of 10th street. On a school morning, I would expect the crew would be set up and ready to handle the traffic prior to the start of school.
Via MC Traffic Commission: Ms. Morris wants to know why Transit buses have to drive through this neighborhood when they don't make any stops there. Says this adds to traffic problems in the area and buses should use 45 to get to Curry Pike.
uReport <uReport@bloomington.in.gov> To kpcaird@yahoo.com Apr 4 at 8:36 AM https://bloomington.in.gov/crm/tickets/view?ticket_id=158635 Closed by RayeAnn Cox Parking Officer went out to location twice, no trailer parked on laurel ct Regarding this parking issue. As a rep of the HOA I spoke with owner at 3873 Laurel regarding the truck and trailer parked in the street and the complaints I have received. I suggested that he park the vehicle elsewhere so as not to block the street. He indicated in was OK with the city, he pays assoc. fees, etc. I believe this is likely in violation of 15.32.060. I'm attaching two pictures including one from this afternoon. Thank you for your attention and two visits to the area. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. (apparently I can only send one at a time.)
Large commercial type trailer parked along the street on a regular basis. This is not a Peppergrass vendor.

Due to there only being a stop sign on Belle Ave. (East/west), drivers consistently speed down Hickory well over the posted limit. In addition, drivers on Belle have a history of not stopping at the stop sign therefore we commonly see near misses or hear screeching tires. While it may annoy some, I feel that a 4-way stop would be much safer here for drivers as well as for any pedestrians.
