The traffic on E Allendale Dr is unacceptable. People come through way too fast, and most cars run the stop sign at E Dunstan Dr. Some don't even slow down. They speed through the stop even when my daughter is walking to the bus stop. I and my dog have almost been hit twice in the last week. Someone is going to get hit. If the police want tickets for run stop signs, they should sit at Dunstan Dr. If they want speeding tickets, sit at Allendale Ct cross street.
Hi! I’m writing to request improvements to 2nd street westbound between Rogers and I-69. I drive this route at various times of day and the congestion is excessive, with stop-and-go traffic being the norm. I am not a city-planner, but a main cause of this seems to be (from a driver’s perspective) the number of traffic lights in the area. What steps can the city do to improve this issue? Thank you, Dane Miles
People, and especially Uber/Lyft drivers park right at the stop sign at the intersection of 18th St and N Dunn St by Evolve Apartments and double park along 18th St all of the time and this creates a huge issue for traffic traveling on the street.
The way traffic is directed after football/basketball games is horrible. There are no exits to the north and the dense “police” you have directing the traffic have no idea what they are doing. In addition, they all have God complexes that make them act rude and unhelpful. None of them have any idea what they are doing. It takes over 45 minutes just to leave to go back to Indy. Simply rerouting your entire fan base (literally all from Indy) in a circle around the entire campus doesn’t work. You don’t have to be a genius to figure that out. Get it together Bloomington this is ridiculous.
Traffic on East Wylie St very fast, potential hazards, while a lot of kids are living (and playing) in this street. Need for better signalization, lower speed limit, speed cushions or bump-outs to reduce motor vehicle speeds (inspired by the East Allen Street Greenway project?)
Consistently vehicles are running through stop signs at the corner of Olcott and Winston between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Often speeding at 20 mph or above. There are many young children who may be at risk.
When will this double turn lane onto 37 be open. It backs up the left lane back past Hardee’s during high volume traffic. The turn lane should be timed longer on the 3rd and 37 exit so traffic can flow better
Street sign at 2nd and Henderson has been missing for at least the past several months.
Our street, North Fritz Drive, is receiving a significant amount of drive-through traffic of people trying to skip the busy traffic light at the Bypass. Myself, my wife and my 16 year old daughter have all been in multiple very close calls recently from drivers going between 35 and 45 miles per hour on a neighborhood street where the speed limit should be no more than 20 mph. We strongly suggest that speed bumps be placed on Fritz Drive asap. It is clear many drivers coming West on the Bypass are going North on Dunn St, into Matlock Heights, then flying down Fritz Drive to get to North Walnut. Please don't hesitate to contact myself, C. Samson May, at (812)361-2213 or my wife, Blake Warren-May, at (812)361-4399. Eric Greulich is a close friend of ours. Thank you.
