Street light not working at 2905 N. Bankers Drive: Corner of Blue Ridge Drive and Bankers Drive
I just passed Highway 46 and Walnut. As Walnut comes into town (near McDonalds on the North side) the street lanes are being painted. The painting on Walnut is crazy as there is a giant unused space that will not be used by motorist. They will instead do as they are today and use this area to expedite there dirve to the turn lanes. Someone needs to check this out ASAP.
Now that Rogers Road is closed due to construction of the roundabout at Sare Rd., there has been a significant increase in traffic cutting through the Spicewood neighborhood. That in and of itself is bad enough, but many of the vehicles are speeding or blowing through the stop sign at Spicewood and Round Hill. This is creating a danger for us trying to enter or back out of our driveway, or crossing the street, since we live just over the crest of the hill at the intersection. When we back out of our driveway, we are counting on southbound traffic stopping at the stop sign. If they proceed through the stop sign at 30 mph they may not be able to avoid broad siding us as we back out of our driveway. The same holds true for when we pull in our driveway.
On work days just before 8 am city work teams leave the garage at Henderson & Miller in mass headed for job sites. It is unfortunate that their timing coincides with a busy time for commuters adding to traffic woes. Could they leave 15 minutes earlier or later?
3rd / Jordan has flashing red on Jordan and flashing yellow on 3rd. This is very dangerous because 1) people on Jordan don't know it isn't a 4-way stop and 2) pedestrians can't get across the street. It should be flashing red for everybody.
The new traffic pattern at 3rd and Jordan (due to construction) is extremely dangerous. Traffic on Jordan has a flashing red light, traffic on 3rd a flashing yellow -- drivers on Jordan cannot tell that the traffic on 3rd doesn't stop. Not only is there a lot of confusion at this already very busy intersection, but people crossing the street can't see the yellow light at all and cannot cross safely!!
