All Stop signs and speed limit signs on Henderson St., from Miller Dr. to 1st Street seem to be invisible because no one ever heeds them. I would think Police presence would help, but perhaps public works could do something to convince motorists that this is not a major, high speed artery. We have a school, a park, and many pedestrians. Yesterday (4/8/13) I saw a car, traveling 40-50 mph, narrowly miss a college student at the bus stop by Blacks Lumber. Also two children have been hit in the Templeton School zone this year. This is a problem.

Increased traffic patrol by officers in the North Maple area would be greatly appreciated, for a couple reasons: 1) In the N Maple/15th St area, there is a motorcyclist who loiters and frequents the area between the hours of 7-11, off and on, who speeds/squeals his tires up and down the street, revs his engine, and drives recklessly, seemingly for fun. This has been an ongoing issue for months, but recently has become an every day occurrence. It's currently happening right now, 7:50pm on a Wednesday, and woke me up from a dead sleep at 10:30pm on Monday. Aside from the loud, incessant noise polution, his reckless driving is going to eventually cause damage to life or property. 2) At the intersection of Maple and 11th, there is a three way stop that half the people in this neighborhood completely ignore. I've had more than one close call there during my morning commute. People tend to roll through the stop sign, and only slightly hesitate, in an attempt to beat out whoever is coming the other way. Aside from being rude, it's super dangerous. Please assist with these issues. It's become very nerve-wracking to live in this neighborhood lately because of inconsiderate drivers/bikers. I was hoping it would go away after school let out, but it appears to be a townie issue.

Neighbor repeatedly parks in alley, blocking safe flow of traffic (1st alley between Wylie and Dodds, off Rogers) Repeatedly asked not to block alley, but continues to do so.

Thanks for the hard work being performed along Patterson drive. Request - the intersection of Patterson Drive & Bloomfield RD / 2nd ST is very busy through 8 am. Would it be possible to not block southbound Patterson until about 8:10 to help with traffic flow?

17th and Jackson. U-haul buisines is creating a traffic hazard by parking their trucks poorly. They have reduced roadway to one lane right outside of parking lot for pre school, and made visibility leaving parking lot low. They are also using a great deal of residential parking.

Hello, I just moved to this neighborhood. Our house is the first house on the street from the main. There is a problem in this street in terms of traffic. There is no sign, the curb in the middle of road makes the left turn and right turns so hard that causes accidents. I am here for a month and have been witnessed at least 4 cases where I thought there was an accident. Please call me so I can explain this situation.

This message is not really a Traffic-Related Complaint, but a request for additional street signage. We live at 2750 E. Buttonwood Lane (south-west corner of intersection of S. Sare Road and E. Buttonwood Lane), at the start of the construction of the Sare/Rogers roundabout project. Since the construction was completed, we have noticed a very substantial increase in the number of vehicles turning around in our driveway. There used to be several each week (that we knew of when we happened to see them), but now there are sometimes half dozen or more vehicles every day that use our driveway to turn around. Hi! We live on South Banta Avenue, and because the road is on a hill, and also because it provides a shortcut between Tapp Road and Ralston, we routinely see cars charging up and down the hill as fast as they can go. (Today we watched a truck moving uphill actually pull over to one side and make a complete stop to allow a sedan to shoot downhill past it, still accelerating.) This is terrifying, as we have two young children, one of whom is still under two years old. We routinely bike with the kids in tow, and the most frightening part of our entire journey is the short time we have to bike up or down our own street. There have been two accidents at the corner of Tapp and Banta within the past week, and a neighbor's cat was run over recently as well. I'm not sure what a workable solution would be, whether posted speed limit or children at play signs would effectively change motorist behavior. There are numerous families with children in the neighborhood, and since most of Banta Ave has neither sidewalk nor curb, children trying to move from their homes even to the neighborhood park at the Broadview Learning Center are in considerable danger--this is true throughout much of the Broadview neighborhood area. As for South Banta Avenue, I would love to see a few speed bumps put in. I'd even welcome a few giant potholes. Seriously. I hope that the intersection of Tapp and Rockport is scheduled to become a traffic circle in time, which I hope will alleviate this problem eventually. 2 signs on N. Walnut St. just north of W. 15th St. on the west side of street are twisted and/or leaning. one sign is the one way sign and I couldn't see the face of the other sign needing repair.
