Citizen (who is a candidate for County Commissioner), claims Sanitation truck has been speeding through his neighborhood. Says he has seen this at least twice, even at times that are not collection days for that area.
Citizen works for Wininger Stolberg, developers of Winslow Farms. Claims that today and on 2 previous occasions, City recycling truck has been driving through Laurelwood like "a bat out of hell." Says he has yelled at the drivers but gotten no response. Says this is dangerous because of kids in the area.
There is a north/south alley that runs between 7th & 8th Streets behind Keller Heating & Cooling. There is another east/west alley that intersects the n/s alley ending in the Johnson Creamery parking lot. Sharon states that one of their employee trucks were recently hit using these alleys. This is the 2nd Baptist Church and Rev Butler and Suzanne Faulk are requesting handicapped parking on the corner of 8th and Rogers and the other nearby.
Complainant would like the 2-hour parking restriction eliminated in front of the above address (see letter in Traffic Complaint file).
