I just returned home from downtown Bloomington. Not one single sidewalk leading to a crosswalk has been shoveled. I found it quite dangerous to walk through the snow and ice to cross the street. I am required by law to clear my sidewalks within 24 hours after the end of a snow storm and do so religiously. Yet here it is three days after the end of the last storm and no effort has been made to clear the crosswalk sidewalks. Why must I obey the law if our own city government and mayor are aloud to violate this law. This is inexcusable not to mention discriminatory. Shame on Mayor Hamilton and his government.
