This is the SECOND time I'm bring this issue to the City's attention. The person who has a private parking spot at 521 W Smith Avenue refuses to park within the white lines (parking ON the lines does not cut it; either the person is totally unaware of his vehicle location, or he refuses to follow the law and compromises the safe travel along this little run of Smith Ave. e.g. makes it problematic for city sanitation, UPS/USPS/FedX, and emergency vehicles. (I would include a photo of his current "on the line" parking which is about two feet away from his limestone wall e.g. PLENTY of extra space to ease out of the middle of the street, but you get the the 'picture'. Again, this is my second request to move the City into action. A small problem, but it represents a long-standing disregard or manipulation for/of the law. And as I said before, I spoke with this person directly and encouraged him to park between the lines.)

This is a recurring issue from last year. Commercial equipment being parked in our Sycamore Knolls subdivision for over 3 months! Don’t know if it’s in need of repair, but they’ve had plenty of time if it does. Also, Sycamore Knolls subdivision has Convenants prohibiting the parking of such vehicles in the neighborhood. Can the proper authority/department please address this issue at the intersection of Arden and Sycamore Court. Thank you for your time.

The Project School prohibited egress from the alley (parallel between Washington & Walnut) at 8:55 am this morning 11/4/19. Instead of monitoring the traffic/pedestrian flow and locating a safe gap to allow passage, the gentleman refused to allow any vehicle to pass even when there were ample opportunities to do so. I do not believe the Project School is allowed to completely prohibit vehicle egress indefinitely. I request that their guards not only allow passage for their students and parents but to also allow passage for the rest of the community who rely on the use of the public roads and alleys.
