One of the baracades from the new convention center build (in the back of our Music academy) was placed in a way where it is blocking access to one of our parking spaces. It seems to be placed outside of the gate that they erected and not on their property. It would be great if you could have them move it over so that we can access are parking. Also, there is a lot asphalt debris being left on our property as well from digging around that area.
Ford Broncho with Illinois plates (see attached) parked in alley behind house to the south.
Because of all the new construction in the area, there are a *huge* number of cars now vying for the limited spaces. The result is that people are parking in places they shouldn't, and backyards have become parking lots. This location is only one example. On the alley south of the house, over the weekend there was a Lexus with Illinois plates (AC7_2559) parked in the alley, blocking it. At other times (including this morning) another vehicle was parked in the same location (dark red Hyundai Santa Fe, photo attached). This problem will only get worse if Planning continues to allow developers to increase density in this area. There are already *NO* parking spots available on the streets. None. Zilch. It is no wonder people are parking in the alleys.
Lee Huss asked that we go by 310 E. 16th. There is a large pine tree that is blocking the sidewalk.
A silver grey Sienna XLE Toyota van with a flat tire has been parked in this location for half a year. It is blocking parking for other residents on the street. Licence plate #144TPR, Indiana.
Dear city of Bloomington, While I'm grateful your team has looked into this, the issue is far from being resolved. The repair work did not make any improvement in the noise. The remedy that was done the first time worked for awhile. The grate needs to be opened and cleaned out so that it seats properly. A rubber ring or some kind of padding needs to be placed on the contact points to reduce the vibration. The loud noise is going on 24/7. I'd like to invite a member of your team to see it for yourself. Feel free to contact me and I can meet you at the site of the storm grates. Regards, Craig Subject: uReport Case #180991 https://bloomington.in.gov/crm/tickets/view?ticket_id=180991 Closed by Kathleen Powell Per CBU supervisor, a crew went to this site and put con-seal around the manhole covers. This should stop the noise when cars drive over them.
