The North/South alley between 810 W. 7th and 804 W. 7th is being encroached upon by gardens, woodpiles, trees/vegetation and possibly the fence and cinder block garage owned by 810 W 7th St. As a result, the alley traffic is being diverted outside of the alley right of way and onto the private property located at 804 W. 7th. This appears to have been going on for a number of years. As the new owner of 804 W. 7th St., it is my full intention to re-claim the property/property line currently being encroached upon and proceed with renovations. I request that the Street Dept contact the owner of 810 W. 7th and order the encroachments be removed. With the assistance of a surveyor, I have located the NW and SW corner pins delineating the right of way and pounded new T posts just outside of the right of way in those spots and plan to post the entire property line once the encroachments are removed. Were I to reclaim the property line today, the alley would become impassible due to said encroachments. I request your assistance in remedying this situation in a civil and legal manner, as requests to the homeowner of 810 W.7th have fallen upon deaf ears. I request that you keep me in the loop regarding this issue. I would be happy to meet with a representative of the street dept, with survey in hand, to assist in clarifying and remedying this issue, as renovations of 804 W. 7th will begin in a few weeks. Every school day around 2:30 PM to 2:50 PM, there is a line of traffic parked on each side of Wylie Farm Road, almost all the way to the intersection of Henderson. With cars parked on each side, it reduces the road to one usable lane. Several times each day (including today) traffic going in either direction will have to wait to allow cars through single file. On today’s occasion, I was halfway through the line of cars when a truck turned at the intersection and proceeded to frustratedly drive-through, forcing a near collision. Anyway, this has been going on for years and it’s surprising that there have not been accidents here. It is worth taking a look at because the parking seems unnecessary and done just as a convenience for parents picking up their kids from South high school.

I have reported this problem to the City several times, but nothing has ever been done about it. There is a used car business being operated out of a house at 1316 S. Palmer Ave. Deliveries of used cars and trucks arrive every week, and more often than that. The owner of the business has workers working who are always in the street. The vehicles and the workers block traffic, and it is unsafe for the workers refurbishing the used cars and trucks. In fact, that block of Palmer has become a one-lane street. The cars and trucks are parked up and down the street at all times. The place itself is trash heap. I own a house in the 1400 block, only two doors south of this used car lot, and my property value is diminished because of it. This would NEVER be allowed in any other residential neighborhood in the city. There are constantly many used cars and trucks coming and going as they get refurbished and sold. I've had enough. Please do your work.

I've tried getting to the City of Bloomington phone app to work and report this, but can't get it to function correctly. This pick-up has been parked in the yellow at the intersection of 6th & Waldron for at least 2 months. It is partially blocking the road and makes negotiating the turn difficult and dangerous in inclimate weather especially. It now has a flat tire and very expired plates.

There has been a red van with Morganstern Home Services on it parked in the Rosewood Court cul-de-sac for over 10 days. Please have it removed.

White car is parked on the north side of the street. There is parking only on the south side due to the narrowness of Smith. This is illegal parking and this auto has parked this way often. I am going to start reporting it because it creates a narrowing problem for the street.

White car parking on north side of Smith. There is no permitted parking there and this is a repeated offense. It obstructs traffic on a street where parking is only allowed on one side. Vehicle belongs to Doug Wissing and he knowingly and repeatedly has parked there partially on the neighbors yard.
