There is no yellow curb north of the parking garage at the new Urban Station apartments on Washington, meaning that cars can park right up to the entrance. This makes the field of vision for vehicles leaving the garage very poor. Compounding this is the issue of cars briefly double parking alongside the car immediately north of the exit to pick up and drop off tenants. This is especially problematical because there is a bike lane right up against the parked cars. As I was typing this, I saw a car nearly hit one cyclist in the bike lane and two children riding on the sidewalk. I have also seen a few close calls between vehicles. The only thing preventing accidents at this point is the large moving vehicles parking in the bike lane, forcing bikes to move over to where they can be seen. A yellow curb to the north would greatly help expand visibility for drivers exiting the parking garage.
Additionally, now that riding on the sidewalk is legal and I just saw two children nearly hit by a car exiting from the garage, I think it would be prudent to have a mirror installed so drivers can see the sidewalk before exiting--not sure if this would be a city issue or an issue with Urban Station itself.
Being that these apartments have been occupied for only four days and I have witnessed one accident, three or four vehicular close calls, and two vehicle-bicycle close calls, I hope the city gives this problem area the attention it needs. As is, it is only a matter of time before a serious collision occurs.

Pulling out of this alley either direction onto Woodlawn is a hazard, especially for pedestrians and bicyclists. To the right (on Subway/apartment bldg. side) is shrubbery that completely blocks the view of the sidewalk and street. Approaching it from the alley, we can't see if any vehicles or pedestrians are approaching from the north, traveling south. To the left of the alley is a rental house that has a shrub or tree or some other type of greenery that hangs far enough forward that we can't see what's approaching from the south, traveling north. We must ease our vehicles out into the street in order to see what's coming on Woodlawn in either direction. If we're turning right (to head north) when we ease out into the street for visibility, when we see that it's clear to turn onto Woodlawn it forces the front half of the vehicle to swing into the southbound lane. The shrub to the right of the alley (Subway building) needs to be trimmed drastically or removed altogether for safety's sake since the view of pedestrians and vehicle/bicycle traffic is completely blocked. And the tree/bush on the other side of the rental house to the left needs to be trimmed back enough for visibility. This alley is used daily by many. It contains IU parking spaces and parking for residential rental property, and U.S. Mail vehicles travel it daily for delivery. A colleague reported this to the city last year and nothing came of it.

A tree or bush is blocking the sidewalk at the corner of S Larkspur Lane and W Allen Street, and it is causing difficulty with a driver's line of vision of oncoming traffic when pulling out of Larkspur Lane onto eastbound on Allen Street.

June 25 storm. Very large evergreen/pine trees blew over. Insurance says it’s the city’s responsibility to clear the blocked sidewalk. Myself and my neighbors cannot see to exit our driveways. Feel free to contact me for any questions. Thank you!

The street lamps that are posted coming out of the sidewalks have been knocked out and not working for some time, but the building blocks any kind of light coming from busier streets and the light coming from 3rd Street and Allison jukebox is not enough that you can see walking down the sidewalk. As an employee of middleway house, my supervisor has given me permission to report to you that clients have experience not feeling safe and needing flashlights to navigate the sidewalk at night. The worst area is on the southwest side of the sidewalk between the gates of the new wings building down to Smith Avenue. It is also dark across the street from another building owned by middleway house, the rise at 401 South Washington. It is very dark on the west side of the street and our clients and are coming home with their children taking the bus when the bus station often is closed. Please work with whoever the property management is of that apartment building because I'm sure they need to install proper lighting for their own tenant's safety, especially on the doorways and entry points that make people feel unsafe walking by. I believe the city needs to install more lighting as well. This area has been begging increasingly unsafe, although close to 3rd St Police. Thank you for giving this the attention it deserves.

Low hanging branch over sidewalk in front of property. I am 5’8” tall and needed to duck to walk under the limb. I fear it could be very dangerous for someone who is sight impaired.

As the weather warms up, there are more and more bicyclists on the sidewalk on the square one just nearly ran over my toddler and me. I told him he was in a dismount zone. He asked where that was posted and I was unable to find a sign with that information. If that has not been repealed, it needs to be better communicated and enforced. Thank you.

Throughout the winter and currently, this uninhabited property has had unhoused people utilizing the garage in the back yard. People wander the alley and wander in the yard on a regular basis. The home also never had the sidewalks cleared from snow causing hazardous conditions for those of us who walk.
Thank you.

Utility cut was beautifully fixed, but the warning sign from last week has collapsed and is now half in the roadway next to the sidewalk.
