There is a vacant property to the north of 2111 S. Rockport Road that the weeds and brush needs to be mowed. The weeds are in the city right-of-way portion as well as on the private property. The property owner is Richard Carmichael. This property is part of the Redevelopment Rockport Road project.
The line of sight problem is at the intersection of Heather Drive and the east leg of Laurel Court. When you travel south on Laurel Court and approach the intersection with Heather Drive, there is no stop sign on the right side and the stop sign on the left side is obstructed by tree branches. BUSHES OVERGROWN CAUSING A PROBLEM TRYING TO PULL OUT ONTO GRIMES LANE. THE GENTLEMAN ORIGINALLY FILED A COMPLAINT WITH "HAND" ABOUT THE BUSHES AND HIGH GRASS. THE OWNERS MOWED THE GRASS BUT THE BUSHES HAVE OVERGROWN ONTO THE SIDEWALK AND THE GENTLEMAN CANNOT GET HIS WHEELCHAIR AROUND THEM.
THERE IS A FLOWER GARDEN ON THE SW CORNER OF ANITA AND 1ST STREET. HE FEELS THAT THIS FLOWER GARDEN IS IN THE CITY'S RIGHT-OF-WAY AS WELL AS CAUSING A SIGHT DISTANCE PROBLEM. IF YOU ARE GOING NORTH ONTO ANITA TURNING ONTO FIRST STREET YOU HAVE TO PULL OUT IN THE INTERSECTION TO SEE IF ANYTHING IS COMING. HE HAS ALMOST BEEN HIT A COUPLE OF TIMES. A FEW OF THE NEIGHBORS ARE CONCERNED WITH THIS PROBLEM.
ON THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF HIGH STREET & ROGERS ROAD THERE IS A LARGE ROCK WITH SHRUBBERY AROUND IT THAT OBSTRUCTS THE LINE OF SITE FOR THOSE TURNING LEFT ONTO HIGH STREET FROM ROGERS ROAD.
Weeds are obstructing the line of sight.
Overgrown bushes have grown through the fence and obstructs view for traffic.
The property owner on the northeast corner has a chain link fence with pine trees. The trees have become overgrown and are causing a line of sight problem for drivers pulling off of Huntington onto Miller Drive.
Citizen states that the trees/shrubs on the southeast corner of Huntington & Hillside causes a line of sight problem for those turning off of Huntington onto Hillside.
HAVE A LARGE OVERGROWTH OF SUNFLOWERS ETC THAT BLOCK THE VIEW AT THE ALLEY TURNING AT 517. PLEASE ALSO CHECK THIS YARD FOR WEED TYPE PROBLEMS.
