I work in an IU office at 914 E Atwater. Our parking area is in the alley behind the building. It is reached through either an east-west or a north-south alley. Most of the houses along the alleys are rental properties; at least one is a private residence. There is a lot of overgrowth from the yards that extends into the alleys. I already have a scratch on my brand-new car because of being brushed by some of that overgrowth as I pulled into a place, having had to swing wide enough to fit in between two cars. Is there anything that can be done about brush that grows into an alley? Am I within my legal rights to bring a lopper to work to cut off the brush and small trees that are narrowing the alleyway? My old car had a number of scratches for the same reason, and I was hoping to avoid it with this one. But no such luck. On a related note, it is difficult and a bit dangerous trying to turn right from the east-west alley onto Faculty. Between the power pole and the overgrowth, visibility is terrible. I am happy to do the trimming if I won't get in trouble either with the city or with the homeowners, but it obviously would be better if the city could do it. Please see the included photo, which consists of two different views. Thank you.
I am contacting the city in regards to a sidewalk that was put built from Park on the Morton apartments to College Avenue that has an overgrowth of 3 feet of weeds on both sides of the sidewalk along with trash, dirt and debris. The Park on the Morton office claims that it is not their property to maintain, and it seems no one is maintaining it from the overgrowth and dirt/debris.
Dear Sir or Madam, There is a real excessive growth of nature in an electrical post and its lines at the alleyway that goes from First Street to University Street parallel to Grant Street, and also the pathway that goes from Grant Street to the aforementioned alleyway (between University and First. Thank you very much.
Large bush blocking the sidewalk. It is located in front of the law office.

BPD Office Bob Neely called in to say there is high grass behind Kleindorfer's between Kirkwood & 6th Street.
Tenant, Carolyn, called to say she has complained about vines growing up to her 2nd floor apt. Las month when she went to the office to pay her rent she asked again to cut the vines that are taking over her deck. The office told they would not be cutting the bushes below because there is a nest of snakes. Left msg at landlord office of appt. at 3:00 on 7/2/2010
