The weeds at this address are taller than people. You can't walk down the sidewalk in the area because its so overgrown. The yard has been overgrown for at least five years now and it appears to be an ongoing issue. The overgrown yard is also creating safety hazards, such as blocking sidewalks, obstructing visibility for drivers, and attracting pests, including rats and raccoons. overgrown yard might be violating. The overgrown yard is affecting the neighborhood's appearance, property values, and quality of life for residents. Neighbors have complained numerous times, but the city doesn't seem to address the issue with this yard.

I’ve noticed non native plant species on this City parcel and would like to know since we have been working on similar plant removal and treatment along the B Line who might be be ones to inquire of addressing the bush honeysuckle, wintercreeper et al on this triangler parcel just a few parcels from the back parking of Opportunity House. Calling about recent case (see below). Problem persists. #188267 Excessive Growth Case Date: 5/5/2024 The owner of (corner house) 1706 E Second Street only mows half his lawn. The half that borders 607 S Eastside Drive has not been kept up. If he keeps doing this, the grass will be knee high by August.

Invasive Japanese knotweed growing on west side of house and south side of property along alley.

There is a utility pole at the SW corner of this property (by the alley) that is completely covered in vines, most, perhaps all of which are poison ivy. The vines are right next to the alley and tenant parking lot and are so high up (25+ feet) that the vine is going to seed. Is this the responsibility of the adjacent property owner, or do the utility companies maintain their poles? If the latter, do we have to wait the 5-year cycle for them to come by and do the trimming, or will they come by if someone requests it? And if so, how do we contact the utility which bears the responsibility?

There is a City-owned tree in the ROW that is completely covered in vines, some of which are poison ivy. The vines are right next to the sidewalk, and are so high that the vine is going to seed. Is this the responsibility of the adjacent property owner, or does the City attend to its own trees?
