Defne Jones is an absentee homeowner in our community. She is repeat offender for failure to maintain her property at 412 E. Laurelwood Court, Bloomington. The yard is once again out of control and in need of mowing (among other things). This is not the first time she has been reported to the city.
with regards to case 192882. I just saw that her yard was mowed by a neighbor, therefore you will not see the violation. Neighbors become so frustrated that they will occasionally mow the yard. That is not fair to them. She needs to be fined. Also she permits people (possibly IU students) to stay there without electricity and water. I have not checked to see if she is registered with the city for a rental property, but seriously doubt she is. She owes fees to our Community Association and we have a lien on her house for fees owed.
Neighbor at 5885 weeds are taller than my garage and are starting to come onto my property and push my fence over. It’s been like this too long.
At 731 S Parkway Dr the yard is extremely unkept. Grass not mowed, weeds are high, shrubs so overgrown you can’t see front door, they are as tall as the house, up to the gutters. Back yard is overgrown also. Neighbors are concerned. You can see a kiddie pool surrounded by weeds. The driveway has junk cars with flat tires and a dumpster is permanently in the driveway. If the inside is as bad as the outside it is unfit to live in especially for children. Please do something. Neighbors know this has been reported for years and nothing changes. I would think the school bus driver would report it. Summer time people take walks and everyone sees this run down property. Pest control services in the area told us they wouldn’t go back to the house it was so bad inside from his view from the front door. The mailman has to see it. PLEASE DO SOMETHING!!!
3620 S. Kingsbury Ave. Debris in front yard from the storm we had a couple months ago. Shrubs are overgrown. Some limbs from storm hanging in the downspout on the west side of the house. Property looks very unkempt unlike the rest of the homes on our street.
Partially blocked sidewalk because of overhanging bushes in front of 710 E First Street.
2310 Boulder Court is overgrown and owners do not cut the lawn.
1706 E Second street house, the part of the lawn that is on Eastside Drive is unkempt. Also, could someone from the city check out the swale along that house, the Eastside Drive part. The swale is overgrown with weeds and blocks the flow from storm water to the under street drain at the corner of e Second and Eastside Drive.
# 180789. It has been 1 month and nothing has changed. Except that school is back in session, and the BHSN boys and girls cross country teams try to run in our neighborhood. But it is very difficult, since tree limbs and bushes are growing over the sidewalk. We live in a.nice neighborhood and this is ridiculous. I will give it 1 more week before I get my chain saw and take care of it myself. Then I will send the city of Bloomington a Hefty bill.
East Morningside Drive. One yard on south side has had limb branch pile out for months if you can request remove. Also further down the sidewalk is impeded by overhanging limbs and would be AWESOME if you can ask they cut them.
