Customer called complaining of dark colored water coming from his faucets. When he turns his faucets on, he gets a lot of sputtering and air coming from the pipes. A new sewer line was installed in front of his house a couple of days ago.
Ms. Davis stated that her water has been yellowish in color since Saturday (8/24). She can smell chemicals in the water. Ms. Davis further stated that she took a purifier off her water last Saturday due to low water pressure.
Flow test crew was flushing fire hydrants in the 1800 - 1900 block of S. Curry Pike. Complainant's water was dirty, and wife did clothes that turned out dingy even though notice was published about the flow testing.
About twice per month customer has brown water. He has to call for a hydrant flushing each time. He is getting very irritated by this inconvenience. He said this started when the plant in that area was closed.
Customer has seen brown gritty material in her water since 01/01/01. Wants to know if City water is cause. She had a water line break inside the house and had to have water turned off. Problem is likely from the hot water heater caused in that incident.
Customer said water is leaving pinkish residue on fixtures. SG contacted Dillman Lab to sample.
Water has had brown color since July.
Water has a musty smell.
