I am a EC commissioner and Utility Dept Storm sewer volunteer and have been trying to keep my neighborhoods storm drains clear to prevent street flooding. I have been removing pavement fragments for several months that have washed downhill to the storm sewers at the intersection of Queensway and Chelsey Court. Today I cleared the debris from these at this location and added new eroded pavement that have been washing downslope to the drains. I consolidated the material on the curb and grass at the northeast drain at the intersection. This material can and has obstructed the drains and some has washed into the underground sewer line. Thus these drains when obstructed can result in street flooding, blocking the underground storm sewer and result in stream water contamination. Can these debris be removed and disposed of? It looks like the road had settled and they chose to fix the issue by adding asphalt over the concrete road. It turn basically made it a speed up a couple years back. We unfortunately have huge semis and overloaded tractor trailers flying down our road. The thud from these hauling trailers can me felt all throughout my house. I have noticed since buying the house two years ago, that these constant vibrations are affecting the foundation on my house. My next door neighbor and I have had enough. I don’t know why the city chose to fix the settled road this way but it is cause far more damage to my property than it is the cars and semis driving over this area. I’ve already filed a complaint over a year ago and nothing has been done.

Why has the city torn up the asphalt and then just left it for 3 weeks? Why would you remove it so long before replacing it?

Damage to road at the corner of S. Laurel Ct and E. Heather Dr. This damage seems to be ongoing as cars make a right turn over this area and break off pieces of the road surface. Also there are multiple potholes forming on S. Laurel Court

An 8 by 2 ft. Section of S. Highland on the west side of the steeet next to the storm drain section (near my house at 926 S. Highland) has buckled and crumbled into various sizes of asphalt chunks. If we have a sustained and severe downpour of rain, the water running down the street will carry the chunks into and block the storm drain under my front drive (on city property) and cause flooding. I am 81 and am unable to clear the street myself. May I ask you to inspect the area and possibly remove the debris? Thank you.

This pothole is not visible from a distance and is very dangerous. I was going 15 mph since it is right by the stoplight at Jordan and Atwater and my back rear tire popped and the front passenger rim is completely bent. My car was undrivable and required roadside assistance to get it towed. I now need to have two tires, a rim and wheel replaced as well as a complete alignment done on my car. I am now left without a car for a week, I am forced to pay nearly $1000 in damages to my car and as a full time student who also works part time, this is a very large sum of money. The city needs to fix this quickly so that it does not happen to anybody else.
