There is a construction crew working on an apartment complex on Gourley Pike, just west of Kinser. They are dragging a large amount of mud into the street and creating a significant mess. It needs to be cleaned up.
The alley to the west of 1022 and 1024 W 7th is highy degraded and a danger to cars and traffic. It is so uneven that it's a danger to pedestrians as well. I am trying to upload an image here but the site doesn't seem to be accepting it.
Approximately 30 yards eastward from the stop sign at E Post Road and N Staats St, in the westbound lane of Post road, is a 12" wide by 33" long rectangular indentation originally dug by a contractor and then filled in. The fill has since subsided by one to two inches throughout. Hope it can be topped off to make a smoother street.
Near the alley way at 401 N Dunn water does not drain properly and builds up with gravel and dirt making it difficult for handicap travel. 8th Street has been paved over so many times that drainage is impaired. There is quite a bit of debris there now and this holds a lot of water during a rain event. Finally the alley has been patched a little but it is in pretty bad shape and needs redone. There is a massive trench across the full width of N Oolitic Drive. It has gotten terrible and I fear is a safety risk. It has been there since at least August 2023.
Several deep potholes on S Tall Oaks Dr
Hello! I'm writing to request repaving of Uppington Court in Sherwood Oaks. We've had a water main break several months back and now a layer of pavement is chipping off and causing debris where our children play. The condition of Uppington Court can be improved and made safe for our children to scooter and ride bikes by repaving. There is also a person who parks his trailer on the street over where the water main burst and is just filled in with rocks and no curb. It would be best if he could park his trailer and truck on his own property and so that this repair/repaving can be done. Thank you for considering this project! The children in the cul-de-sac (and parents!) would very much appreciate the repaving update.
Alley overgrowth
the ground under the concrete has washed away causing a hole that broke the concrete and created a large hole
I own property at the lower end of Brooks Drive (1305). The section between where the cutout for my neighbor's drive and my property is covered by an easement I granted several years ago to the city. That section of pavement is badly in need of new blacktop as is the driveway on my property. I need to get some guidance about what I can do--and any help the city might provide.
