This eyesore was reported twice per cases #178134 & 178189 and this debris has yet to be removed at the dead end of S Basswood Drive toward 3rd St. The second time I reported it, I observed 2 city workers there for about an hour leaning on their pickup truck staring at the debris, but staring at it didn’t remove it. I noted that one person suggested contacting the apartment complex near this area to remove it, but that complex provides dumpsters for their residents to dispose of mattresses during the move out periods. This debris is on city property pure and simple. I guess my next step is to go to the Herald-Times and show them pictures of this eyesore. If those 2 workers would have spent their time removing it instead of resting their arms on the bed of their pickup, it would be gone.

During the big rain and subsequent flood of a few weeks ago, a great deal of large flotsam traveled down the stream that edges Switchyard park and got stuck against the bridge that goes under W Country Club Drive. There are large trees, pallets, large trash can and smaller debris jammed against the north side of the bridge causing a dam. The vehicle bridge is between the B-line trail and Burger King. One can see all this debris from the pedestrian bridge.

Why was this ticket closed with reason "Can't Fix"? Shouldn't you contact the landlord to advise them to clean this up? Another (perhaps stolen) bicycle and other personal effects have been dropped off and picked up the following day. This just on 9/17/22. This strip of overgrowth is still accruing trash. What can be done about this? If nothing can be done, will you at least provide a reason?
