There was a pass over plow at the apartment complex. This has lead to cars being completely blocked in by packs of snow because the snow was not moved to one area. Resident received an email on Monday stating the streets would be plowed again and the sidewalks would be shoveled the next day. And only emergency vehicles were allowed to enter the complex. However, none of these things happened. Despite the staff and facilities living on premise and being at work in their offices. They essentially sent out an email stating everyone is trapped in their apartments and have not done anything since then. I understand this probably more of an apartment complex issue, but they are not listening to complaints from people. If you travel to Basswood to see the dangerous conditions, or call them, I'm sure that would be enough for them to take action.
Star View Ln needs to be plowed and salted at least once more. It is not a privately maintained road as the previously closed ticket stated and is part of the city. We get forgotten about as we are in the back of the neighborhood, but are definitely not a privately maintained road (we receive city trash service)
Dead end road only had a single lane plowed. Residents forced to reverse the entire length of the road when leaving homes. This creates a maneuverability hazard and a higher risk of becoming stranded in the deep unplowed sections of accumulated road snow. Please have contractor or city service entity plow entire width of road. Many thanks and appreciation for your service and hard work.
I'm requesting a plow truck and the end of 1100 S Park Ave (as it dead ends into Bryan Park). Y'all did it fine, but the snow removal squad for the apartment next door snow blowed all their stuff into the street.
Waldron between Kirkwood and 4th St. needs to be plowed. Multiple cars have been stuck and we have had to dig them out today. The photo is one of those.
For the past couple of years we have experienced an issue with our street snow plowing. As you can see from the picture the road is being plowed approx.. 10-12’ away from my drive and mail box. The other side of the street is plowed nearly to the curb. I am a retired senior citizen and it not recommended that I shovel that much snow. I pay my taxes same as my neighbors but am not receiving the same service. Thank you! Allen Percifield
Another snow report for yall! I previously reported this issue in ticket #206983 on 12/01/2025. City and County snowplows create a large mound of snow where Morton St meets the convention center parking lot, near the B-line. Yellow bollards block car traffic, but pedestrians and cyclists use this intersection to get on the B-line. So now we can’t pass. And it’s like 5.5 feet tall. Thanks for that Fern. Even with my back I tried shoveling again but the snow was too compacted for me to move effectively (and perhaps I should go to the gym lol). For the short term, is it possible for a smaller plow to try clearing a path through? I hope this berm isn’t stuck here til springtime. In the long term, I have a few ideas: 1) have the plow on Morton street plow southward as much as possible, so only the short stretch north of Smith ends up at that intersection (I know there could be other logistical factors I’m unaware of to make that impossible) 2) have a smaller snow plow (like used on the B line) ready to go in the area, so it can go back and forth to keep the path clear even as the big snow plows pile up the snow. Idk I’m not a city planner so I’m sure there are reasons my ideas wouldn’t work, but I hope yall can come up with a solution to keep this path clear. Thanks for your work in managing the snow. It’s a Sisyphean task. In the meantime I’m going to work on my back and go to the gym so I can shovel better next winter.
Street outside of Morton garage entrance is very narrow due to snow and not wide enough for two cars to pass
