My wife was meeting a friend to run near the BBC on Dunn St. at 7:30am this sunday and reported that she observed an individual in the park urinating in the parking lot, people possibly sleeping overnight in the adjoining parking lot and then interacting with the park occupants, a pile of vomit in the lot, and individuals emptying trash from their vehicle onto the ground. All of these actions appear to be associated with the lack of bathroom facilities and security enforcement in and around Peoples Park. I can appreciate how difficult these situations could be but to have trash, human waste, and conspicuous disregard for the facilities and rule of law is frustrating. My hopes are that this can become part of your record to try and help build a critical mass of complaints to solve this ongoing problem for all residents, ensure public health and improve public safety. We love the parks but as it stands now there are 2 parks (Seminary and Peoples) I wouldn't dare venture into with my children or even feel comfortable in by myself and that does not seem fair that one population, albeit a struggling one, is able to abscond with something intended for everyone. Solutions are out there and I hope registering a complaint can help add support to any ongoing efforts to make resolving these situations possible.

We frequently walk the loop trail at Winslow park and it is becoming way too overgrown around the forested area on the East side of the park. The weeds grow over the trail at least a foot on each side of the trail, making the path single lane and very obstructed. Not to mention with the recent incident that happened at this park, it would be much safer to not have so much overgrowth around this area of the trail. I understand the environmentally friendly effort of letting some of it grow naturally like it is done at the Jackson Creek / Goat Farm trail, but at that trail there is still a buffer where it is mowed directly along the trail so it doesn't grow over the actual paved area. Please mow/cut this area off the trail so the full paved area can be safely walked upon. Thanks

People park. This park is over run by homeless. It is not useable by others. More disturbing is seeing someone shooting up in evening when walking with family on Kirkwood. This is an unsafe environment. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hi, I have a request regarding the tennis court lights at Winslow sports park. Currently they come on some time between 8:15 and 8:30 pm. This leaves bit of a lag between dark and the lights coming on. Can you please change the time the lights come on so that this lag is eliminated? Also, last year the lights stopped around the end of October. Since it is good weather for outdoor tennis till mid-December, will it be possible to extend the days for tennis court lighting? The bathroom at the lower cascades park has been locked the past 5 Saturdays and or Sundays that my family has visited. There is no "out of order" sign. But it worries me because there are hundreds of people that visit that park, especially on the weekends. I actually wondered if maybe the park itself is closed on weekends during the day (around 1 o'clock in the afternoon). So my questions are: -is the bathroom supposed to be locked during the day on the weekends? If not, -when will someone reopen it? -what are the hours that the park is actually open with access to the bathroom? I don't know if your responses to u-reports are public or even available to me (without leaving an email address). But I hope they are, so that the other parents can also be informed.

The Upper Cascades Skate Park has a single portable fiberglass structure serving as a restroom facility. The door to this structure is broken and cannot be locked for privacy and/or safety.

Peoples park what if we turned it into a nature area park Put up an iron fence and plant more bushes, staues or big fountain that u can look at but not enter.
