Cascades park. Why is it so hard to drive here?! Surely you can make it one way or protected bike path or even clog the other end instead of forcing town to expend significant gas miles to get to the north entrance? Please tell me this restricting isn't permanent

Would it be possible to put heaters in the shelters in the parks around town so family and friends can meet up outside this winter due to the Coronavirus?

I was downtown at the walnut street post office and the parking lot was overrun by homeless people who apparently were on some sort of substance. One was lingering by my vehicle and I was uncomfortable going to my car. There were tents all over the park into the post office parking lot. Can the Mayor PLEASE do something about the homeless situation? This is not the same Bloomington we had 4 years ago! I don't think I will be coming downtown for a while now.

Excessive trash in and around the Post Office related to the homeless tents.

This is ridiculous. There has been standing water at the switchyard dog park for 3 months. This needs to be addressed. This is a breeding ground for bacteria and unsafe for the dogs of Bloomington. Put a fence around it.

Large numbers of people appear to be living semi-permanently in Switchyard park, and are occupying shelter buildings, Bocce ball courts, and have setup tents near the woods by the creek. This situation has been going on all summer. Yesterday we saw a fairly large group assembled under the shelter directly next to the playground with a large amount of belongings next to them, including a large car wheel and tire. I am sensitive to the needs of the very large homeless population in our city, but there should also be a certain level of respect and rules that protect the experience for other users of the park. It would be a shame if this beautiful park is taken over like what happened with Seminary Park. Can clear guidelines be defined as to what will be done here, within the context of the larger homeless problem?

Seminary park is an absolute disgrace, but I’m sure you already know that. Apparently the city of Bloomington is perfectly fine with it.

The last couple of times we've visited the Switchyard park to play Bocce, the benches along the courts were overrun with people sleeping, drinking, and smoking. Not a very inviting or family friendly atmosphere. We also witnessed the same behaviours, along with what appeared to be drug use in the shelter house next to the playground. Will there be any enforcement of the rules at the park?

Homeless encampments in seminary park? Why is this allowed? I witnessed a man urinating in open air outside tent at 645 am while I was dropping mail. How is this happening? There are services all over town.
