Mr. Ward called to let us know that on several occasions he has seen folks drive back to the Wapehani Bike Park and dump brush and other debris. He knows what they're doing is illegal but doesn't want to get in trouble trying to catch them! He lives at the corner of Wapehani/Weimer roads and uses the park frequently and wants to see it taken care of.
Also, has some questions about off-roading in the big open field by the park.
Please call him.

I love your summer concerts and am a big fan. I was disappointed to find that Kaia, the women's singing group is not performing this year. I really enjoy them and they always attract big crowds. When I met one of them recently, by chance, I expressed my disappointment at their not performing in the parks this year and she said that they had applied but been turned down. I noticed that several artists are appearing twice, at different parks, so it can't be that you had too many applications.

Details: There is a large (4" diameter) limb broken and hanging over the paved pathway that goes through Park Ridge East Park. While it does not appear that it will easy fall, it is obvious that it is a potential hazard (especially with all the children playing). Please contact me if you cannot see what I am referring to! (also, see downloaded image)

Heather called and said there are older kids vandalizing the playground equipment and benches at Crestmont Park. She took her kids there yesterday and got paint all over her hair and clothes. She also said they are urinating on the slide(s) at night. Wants to know if we can do something about it. Please contact her.

My son sustained a fairly serious facial laceration (5.5cm down to the bone across his whole left eyebrow requiring suturing at the ER by a plastic surgeon) in an indoor soccer game that night. From the sidelines, it was not clear what had happened, and while the ref walked over to look at my son on the ground, no one summonned any help from the sidelines or sent anyone off the field for aid supplies until I actually walked onto the field to see why he had not gotten up off the ground.

Limestone Rail Trail: Ms. Tilford walked the trail and reported barriers and no trespassing signs behind Dillman Treatment Plant. She asked if that area is private property. Farther south she said cows are grazing on the right-of-way. She asked if the Rail Trail Conservancy might be able to help. She is a member and trail supporter.

As a parent of a developmentally disabled adult and Special Olympics coach, Mr. Murphy wrote to thank the Dept for including golf in the BPR SO program. Espcially commended Jennifer Phillips and staff who recruited great volunteers, the best in 3 years! See letter.

BACC: Disappointed w/location & appearance of the center. Had friend who came to visit and refused to retire here due to the center. "Empty storefront" appearance. Has complained before and would like a call back on this. Should visit Lafayette - it is nice.
