Hello, I am writing to inquire about whether the sidewalk on the east side of S. Jackson St. between 3rd and 4th streets can be repaired. As a person with a visual impairment, I have a terrible time walking on the sidewalk in this location, which is in the block where my house is. The sidewalk is very uneven, with tripping hazards throughout its course due to decay. If I didn't have a visual impairment, it would certainly be easier to walk on this part of the sidewalk, but I know that others with no visual impairment also have a difficult time because of the deteriorated surface. Can the sidewalk at xxx East 7th Street be shaved down to eliminate the height difference between the two adjoining slabs? See photo attached. This height difference can be dangerous for westbound cyclists riding on the sidewalk who need to negotiate both a quick right turn and a left turn to enter the SR46 underpass. Now that an asphalt multi-use path has been built at Relato Bloomington at the intersection of Pete Ellis Drive and Longview Avenue, westbound cyclists are more apt to ride on the path/sidewalk vs. the street, and will continue to ride on the sidewalk all the way to the underpass. Cyclists will be going at speed since it is downhill westbound. To negotiate this sidewalk height disparity, while at the same time negotiating a sweeping turn, poses a dangerous situation that can be easily eliminated.

About 20ft back from the southwest corner of 8th and Washington (between the street and the sidewalk) there is the bottom/stump of what was maybe a parking sign. If moving to the side to allow someone to pass on sidewalk or more likely someone getting out of the passenger side of a car could injure themselves, especially at night. Please remove or replace. Thank you.

Two bricks are missing from the decorative sidewalk in front of the Waldron's Walnut St entrance. Can they be replaced? Concerned about a trip hazard.

I'm confused. When I go to U Repor for a Sidewalk and Curb problem it shows that case #180502 has been Closed:Resolved even though the sunken curb hasn't been repaired, and Mr. Axsom says that I'm still on the list?

At the north end of the sidewalk out front, there is a street sign that blocks the sidewalk. Would it be possible to relocate the sign so that it is not in the way of pedestrians? It is dangerous in the dark.

On the far east end of the brick sidewalk out front, nearly against the retaining wall of 311 E. Cottage Grove and alongside the alley is what remains of what was probably a former street sign pole. It was broken off at some point about 8 inches from the ground. The remaining stump of a steel pole is still there, and it is *VERY* sharp on the tip. It was painted yellow at some point - possibly an attempt to make this hazard visible, but that doesn't help at night. Someone could trip on it, or worse, someone could trip on something else and fall and be impaled on the spike at the top of it. Please remove it ASAP, but whoever removes it needs to understand how to lay bricks because after removal the bricks will need to be relaid and perhaps some will need replacement. Also, no need to replace the sign because there hasn't been one there in a long time and it was ridiculous in the first place to install a sign in a sidewalk where someone could walk right into it in the dark.

IU Packer trucks are having a hard time getting access to trash containers along 9th because cars are parking along the curb. The sidewalk was recently re-done but curbs have not been painted. Thanks Jill
