ACCESSIBILITY: I ride the bus to work at the Gov. Agency building at 1531 S. Curry Pike, and there most definitely needs to be a sidewalk that continues to wrap around further toward the bus stop so that wheel chairs or folks with other disabilities do not fall into the road. The area is super muddy, and even someone with good balance like me can't walk through it. There is a sidewalk leading through the parking lot, but where the bus drops you off there is no actual sidewalk, and the bus won't drop someone off at the actual sidewalk due to it obstructing the parking lot entrance. All it would take is probably about 20-30 feet of sidewalk right there. There may already be a number of complaints, but I really hope it gets fixed so someone doesn't flip their wheelchair into the road or something. The sidewalk at 1107 S. Fairview at the property's secondary entrance is always either flooded, slick mud, or covered with dirt and grass is now taking root across it. Until very dry periods one must walk out in the street to get around it. Likewise, the weed trees at the line between 1107 and the apartment complex to the north are overgrown to a point that the sidewalk is becoming increasingly impassible.

See also closed case #177224 of Sept. 1, 2021. Sidewalk is flaking. 700 S Eastside Drive (corner lot) Nothing was done to repair this. House is for sale again now. Maybe a good time to insist that it be fixed.

Accessibility Issue: Crumbling Sidewalk. This intersection has no curb cut which forces wheelchair users to go out into the street, which is a traffic hazard and dangerous. Please fix.

The sidewalk in front of this complex (Townhouses on 10th) does not have ramps, just curbs, to cross the driveway to the complex. There is also a sunken area east of the complex entrance that is completely buried in dirt now (I'm not sure if it is on their property or on Woodbridge's, it is between). This makes it very difficult to walk through this area with a stroller and also makes it inaccessible to anyone unable to step down or up on a curb (and when it rains, the dirt-covered area turns into mud and gets pretty slick). There are some other areas that have shifted so the sidewalk is no longer even as well.

We recently had a tree removed from the spot shown,  as well as having a tree trimmed on the other side of our driveway. The tree that was removed was rotted out as it was deemed unsafe. We moved to this location in 2019 with a new baby on the way. Fast forward 2 years and just after the tree was removed by the City  of Bloomington, our now 2 y/o plays in front of our house and has now fallen multiple times because of the drop off on the sidewalk due to the tree roots that have lifted the sidewalk. Additionally, small animals have now made this area their home. This is the same problem on the opposite side of our driveway by the electrical boxes due to overgrown root systems of trees that were frankly too large to plant in there specific spots.The lift in the sidewalk from the tree roots has caused a major trip/fall hazards that are at least a 6in drop. Please advise.

Hello, I am the facilities manager of Trinity Episcopal Church (111 s Grant Street). A while back our gas meter was moved by (then Vectren) in conjunction with the Culvert work that is ongoing by Milestone. They moved the meter from the back of our building where it was safe - to the corner where it is in a precarious position. In doing so they have compromised the sidewalk, causing the corner to crack and one of the metal plates to raise up forming a lip - which has been reported to me as being a tripping hazard. I've asked numerous times to have the area addressed (specifically the meter itself) and have been ignored by (now) Centerpoint. The sidewalk deterioration is just the latest part of the failure to sensibly relocate that meter in a safe manner. Does the Street department address this? And who can I talk to about the meter itself? It is exposed to Traffic traveling through the alley and will be damaged at some point by a large truck. If you folks could assist me in this - Trinity Episcopal Church sure would be grateful. Thanks for your time, Kevin Burdeshaw Facilities Manager
