Pesticides on a greenway? Seems contradictory? How safe is this for children walking home from school? Dogs going to the park to play? People walking and cycling down Allen St? No chemicals please!!
This might be more than just a sidewalk issue. It looks like a chuck of the railroad bridge has fallen onto the sidewalk on the west side of Walnut, near and just north of 12th Street / Dominos / entrance to old Ekimae restaurant. It is not completely blocking the sidewalk, but it should be removed - and probably more importantly, the bridge infrastructure integrity should be checked.
Just wanted to circle back re this sidewalk issue. The report above indicates that the issue is resolved but no repair has been made. I have attempted to make it less of a trip hazard by packing it with old towels. I appreciate your attention to this matter. Thanks Laura Chappell 812-325-2310
Just something to check out: sidewalk surrounding sewer grate is crumbling. Could eventually become dangerous. Not sure of the support structure but thought it should be reported.
Catherine Pierce (goes by Cathy) called in to complain about her neighbors parking in front of her ADA accessible ramp that is in front of her home (on the Fairview Side). The neighboring area has the Rock Climbing facility and they are often blocking her ramp and she cannot get out. She would like to talk to someone about this curb section being painted so that they cannot park there. 812-822-3023 - Home 812-325-7125 - Cell
Sidewalk missing whole bricks in the 400 and 500 blocks of E Kirkwood on the south side at least. in front of Kilroy's and Raising Canes, I think it is. Busy weekends coming up. Immediate repair and review of all the sidewalks on Kirkwood needed.
Retaining wall on NW corner of 10th/Grant is collapsing (on-going problem), and one of the large stones is now lying on the sidewalk.
A year has passed since I wrote this (closed case #188144): 'The orange barriers along the sidewalk on S High Street between Wimbleton and E Meadowbluff Ct still have not been removed and remain a big eyesore. I was told that Duke Energy needs to do something there before they can be removed. I bet it has been 2 years now that those barriers have been there. Isn't it time that Duke did what they need to do in order for them to be removed?! The, by now faded, barriers are still there a year later. When will this eyesore disappear?
A constituent called in today and asked that we revisit the sidewalk work that was done at 11th and Lindberg. He stated that this sidewalk was not repaired to be accessible per ADA standards. He has seen multiple wheelchair bound residents struggle crossing here.
