I have a couple questions for you about who to talk to for issues in neighborhoods. The first is about sidewalks - right now I'm living in a non Near West Side neighborhood (I broke up with my boyfriend, moved out, and had to find a place quickly.) Anyway, there's tons of construction nearby - I live on 13th/College but walk to work at 10th/Morton, and I almost get run over by cars every morning. It's kind of terrifying! I just wonder - couldn't the city work with the construction workers to create a safe place for pedestrians while this construction is going on? I wouldnt' have said anything, but it's been a month and clearly the construction is going to take a few more months.
