I am away on business and person watching my house reported that my front yard was dug up by the nuisance folks doing some kind of work in Ron Heifhts. Will the city be reseeding and fixing this area of grass between sidewalk and curb? No one contacted me whatsoever about this work or that they would be digging up my yard. Can the sidewalk at xxx East 7th Street be shaved down to eliminate the height difference between the two adjoining slabs? See photo attached. This height difference can be dangerous for westbound cyclists riding on the sidewalk who need to negotiate both a quick right turn and a left turn to enter the SR46 underpass. Now that an asphalt multi-use path has been built at Relato Bloomington at the intersection of Pete Ellis Drive and Longview Avenue, westbound cyclists are more apt to ride on the path/sidewalk vs. the street, and will continue to ride on the sidewalk all the way to the underpass. Cyclists will be going at speed since it is downhill westbound. To negotiate this sidewalk height disparity, while at the same time negotiating a sweeping turn, poses a dangerous situation that can be easily eliminated.

Hello, I am writing to inquire about whether the sidewalk on the east side of S. Jackson St. between 3rd and 4th streets can be repaired. As a person with a visual impairment, I have a terrible time walking on the sidewalk in this location, which is in the block where my house is. The sidewalk is very uneven, with tripping hazards throughout its course due to decay. If I didn't have a visual impairment, it would certainly be easier to walk on this part of the sidewalk, but I know that others with no visual impairment also have a difficult time because of the deteriorated surface. Thank you.

I was just walking at the intersection of Kirkwood and Grant and came upon a woman who had just tripped on an uneven sidewalk and hit her head on the sidewalk. She was bleeding from her brow. Two men were tending to her injury. I bystander sitting on the bench a few feet away told me what he’d seen, that she was walking east on Kirkwood, looked ahead of her for a second, and tripped over the uneven sidewalk. The lip is sticking up right next to a very small utility manhole-type thing. I have two more photos I took right away. This is of her blood spattered on the pavement. Can this uneven sidewalk please be repaired? It is clearly a hazard and would have to be problematic for anyone using a wheelchair there as well. Thank you.

Thank you for patching the cut in the sidewalk, but now instead of a small trench it's a bump. Please patch sidewalks to be flat. (southwest corner at Southdowns/Woodlawn intersection).
