My spouse and I were dining on the patio at the Little Tibet near 4th and Dunn this evening. The noise and music levels from Kilroy’s around the corner was extremely loud to the point it really ruined the ambiance of an otherwise peaceful evening. Does Kilroys have noise permits to operate with the sound system on their patio? What happened to the quiet nights initiative from a couples years ago?

We had a request for extra patrols to monitor the intersection at Kingston and Longview. The caller said drivers routinely "fly through" the busy intersection, putting other motorists and pedestrians at risk.

I called the Bloomington police department this evening to report a noise complaint (someone in the apartment complex adjacent to mine is playing incredibly loud rap music). I was told by someone on the phone that the noise ordinance in Bloomington does not start until 11 pm, however, section 14.09.030 states that "Sound that is clearly audible to a person with normal hearing from any place other than the premises from which the source of the sound is located, when the sound occurs between the hours of nine p.m. and seven a.m., is prima facie evidence of a violation of this section." The lady was pleasant, and told me that she would send someone over to look into it, but she was convinced that the city of Bloomington's noise ordinance did not go into affect until 11 pm. Might be worth looking into.

I'm in Bloomington quite often and like shopping at Walmart and Target, but I'm handicapped with a permit, but can never find a handicap space because everyone is parking illegal, I have never in all my years seen anyone being ticketed in these lots. I'm sure everyone else like me has thought about shopping elsewhere.

Speeding remains an issue on E Morningside and has been reported by residents for years. We want City assistance. Can you have a resource officer request Summerhouse send a notice to residents to be mindful of speed? We filled out the calming petition. We're told we may finally get help with a Greenway. When is that happening? Residents are exhausted. Is there something concrete we can tell neighbors that help is coming on X date?
