Just wanted to state support for Bloomington's annexation efforts. If someone agreed to be annexed in the future as a condition of that property sale, that should be upheld. And donut holes of non-City property help no one. Bloomington needs to continue to grow and prosper in those areas where it makes sense. Keep at it. Though please don't push for additional zones until services such as sewer are ready to be extended after the map firms up with current target areas.

Re case #205719 the full inquiry was not addressed. This is still being advertised as an event venue. This is ongoing in a neighborhood not zoned for this. How is this particular property and individual allowed to do this? Will all residents in any zoning district then be allowed to operate any business they would like despite zoning regulations?

What is going on at the City owned property on S. Walnut Street by the public safety training center that large equipment is running at 8:47pm? Last night they were going after 9pm. Why is the City operating heavy equipment at these late hours?

Someone needs to get the Rogers Street construction closures under control, preferably before school and work lets out today. It is chaos. Contractor is clearly not concerned about safety. There are going to be accidents. Talked to someone in Engineering this morning, but the situation has not improved at all. Please look into this ASAP. Thank you for your help.

I've noticed that the uReport system no longer shows the text of the updates made. There are only dates and words like "open" and "assignment" and "closed." Citizens cannot see what the City has said or reported about these uReports. There are no details on who is working on the case, what is being done, etc.
Is there a reason why this information has gone away and transparency is now lost?

When is the city going to match the County for work hours/hours worked? Closing at 4pm makes public meetings available to start earlier in the evening, reduces traffic stress on roads as a major employer (remote work accomplishes this too), and creates less confusion on need of City versus County services and what hours they can be reached.

Ever since the city stopped picking up leaves there has been a sign ‘No leaf pickup this year’ in the grass at the corner of Covenanter and Ruby. It is overgrown by grass and weeds. It suggests that no one mows there. Can the sign be removed by the Sanitation Department?

This could apply anywhere in Bloomington, frankly, as it's a persistent issue, so I just picked the intersection where I experienced it most recently.
Every single time I drive in Bloomington after the sun goes down, I'm met with drivers who fail (or just refuse) to dim their brights. Ind. Code § 9-21-8-51 is still on the books. I'd suggest posting signage along busier roads, but based on how often Btown drivers ignore the "One-Way" and "No Turn On Red" signs, I doubt it would work anyway. If the city has any ideas on a community education measure or infrastructure project that would help remind drivers that, yes, leaving your brights on while encountering another driver/pedestrian IS still against the law - that would be cool.

Police car #1249 left running in the parking lot as officer went grocery shopping and showed pictures from his phone of a vacation with Kroger staff. Officer then ran a stop sign as he left the parking lot. Presumably the police are not above reproach?
