It appears that here is an obvious over occupancy at the above address. I counted no less 9 cars there on 6-23-24, and there is consistently at least 6 different cars there lined up and down the road, and several adults their on a consistent basis. This is obviously against code and not safe for visibility along that part of the road. I will gladly get photos if needed.
My husband and I are present members of the YMCA, and go this facility often. We are concerned about the lack of cleanliness of the locker room, bathrooms and the drinking fountains. This is a health risk to our community, with the potential for diseases. Also, the drinking fountain in the track area is warm, plus never cleaned. Another example is in the shower. I have seen something left accidently like a shampoo bottle, and I will see it there for weeks at a time. The shower smells of urine,and it is NOT clean. Again, we are very concerned about possible diseases. The health department needs to do an inspection. My husband and I have complained to the YMCA multiple times, but nothing has changed. Boarded up home at 1017 S. Walnut is equipped with a very loud alarm system with a rotating light that goes off about every 5 minutes. Police have check on the property at least twice with no sign of a break-in. Alarm system is creating noise pollution that makes it unpleasant for neighbors to be outside or have their windows open.
