Animal Shelter
My neighbor keeps tying his dog up on the front stoop and leaving him there. The problem is the dog can’t really move. He’s stuck on the stoop on maybe a 2-3 feet long tie up (at most) and he can’t run around or do anything but bark at the door to be let in. It’s beyond sad. He just got the dog recently so I’m thinking maybe he just needs to be educated.
Every time I walk or bike by this house, a dog charges at me and scares the crap out of me and my kids. It is tied up but the leash is long and hard to see. The dog comes at us at full speed before hitting the end of the leash almost at the street. I’m tired of being terrorized and it can’t be good for the dog either.
This is my 3rd complaint about dogs barking and howling during the day and at night. I have received answers from Animal Control that the owners promised to get park colors. Either they are not working or it did not happen. We need our sleep at night, and we want to enjoy our yard during the day. One of our neighbors has recordings and has also filed multiple complaints. We would really like your help, again. And please do not placate us again that you have talked to the owners. They seem reticent to input. All of us look forward to a permanent solution. There is a dead deer on the north side of Hillside just west of Stier Park.
Dead deer (faun) that was probably hit by a car.
There is an orange cat roaming around and scratching people and pets. It has been around for several days. Animal control is needed.
There is evidence that there is a dog inside the home which is sometimes left out in the backyard that seems to be neglected. Also, there is an issue with trash and litter, which was reported on a separate Ureport ticket to sanitation.
3 dogs fenced in. Many rabbits in yard in sloppy fenced area. They get out of the fence and get lost,go onto other people's yards. Not well taken care of. Have chickens in fence in area close to their house. They have 2 cats and birds in the house. When animal protection came once before the owner would not open the door. Also debris all over yard besides the crazy rabbit fence. They have made the neighborhood look awful. People walking by when they leave the door open it stinks badly.
