I lived in Seattle for 20 years from 1986-2007 (with a 2-year hiatus in NYC). When I arrived there at the end of the Boeing-Lockheed era, I thought, "Seattle is Bloomington with real money!" and when I arrived back in my hometown in 2007, after the Dot-Com Boom and Bust, I thought, "Bloomington is Seattle with common sense!" I work in the County Government Center on the north end of the Showers Building. The HVAC unit associated with the City of Bloomington Government Center is creating so much noise that it is audible in my office. This is a public nuisance. Even to walk into the Showers Building at the 10th Street entrance is almost unbearable due to the screeching, incessant noise. Nobody should have to hear that awful noise. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to some peace and quiet. Curious to know when this HVAC unit was installed and if it is slated for replacement anytime soon.

Resident Miklos Santorini contacted the Office of the Mayor's Facebook page in October detailing the presence of medical waste at 718 S. Rogers. Santorini stated that, "This building is part of the hospital complex. There has been a build up of of trash, garbage and even bodily fluid specimens behind the dumpster there for over 2 years. I have tried contacting the hospital about this, but the PR people say it's a problem with the waste hauler, not them." Our intern contacted HAND at that time. A rep from HAND stated that they would be sending a neighborhood compliance officer over to take a look. Santorini contacted us again today (Jan 29, 2019) about the same property stating that, "...there is a buildup of medical waste around the dumpster. Vials of blood and urine, etc. I walked by today and it is still there, just more rotten and frozen. Does anyone in the city have the ability to at least check this out and maybe have it cleaned up?"

This HVAC unit associated with the City Showers Building offices is a nusiance. I clocked the sound levels at 88 decibels. I made a similar complaint about a month ago. The screeching noise just keeps coming back. I can hear it in my office even. Please find the funding to do a proper ungrade to this system. I cringe when I leave my office building.

The HVAC that serves the City Showers Building is increasingly getting louder. The sound level has gone from 88 decibels last week to 95 decibels this week. My office is the very most northwest location in the Showers Building and I can hear it through the office walls with a sound like the drone of a cicadas. I invite you to see how long you can stand on 10th Street adjacent to the Showers Building without plugging your ears to the high pitched screech of the City HVAC. I will likely swing by for public comment at the next available public meeting. Find the money in the budget to replace this nuisance please. It is truly upsetting those who work nearby it.

Have came to report this in person and also attempted to call your office with no results. Please get this taken care of. If not to stop the annoyance to me, to help this person keep their water on.

This package was stolen out of the 10th and College apartment complex mailroom. It was delivered at 1:04 on 2/4/23. It contained a refund check from the office of the Treasurer of the state of Illinois for a sum of money just over $1200. When I went to pick it up today at 1:30 pm it was missing.
