Writer wants to know why the 75-100 years old osage-orange tree that was in Ninth St Park was cut down. This was a beautiful tree, showed no signs of illness, and was one of the largest of its species left in the county. (see e-mail).
Citizen has complaint regarding orange trash bags - they keep breaking. Says she's getting the runaround - called Commissioners, SWD, City and no one knows who's responsible.
Kid City commendation. Her daughter and a friend attended 2 sessions of KC Outdoor this summer. It was a wonderful experience. Activities were creative and fun. Really enjoyed the camp-out @ Yellowwood. Especially impressed with the counselors - great role models. Keep up the good work! (see letter)

Sherwood Oaks Park: The creek on the back of park has been dammed up (by kids, cty or parks? not sure?) and there is trash in it and a bad odor.
Mr. McCafferty called in to comment on four Bloomington Police Officers on bicycles that were near People's Park on E. Kirkwood Avenue. He said the officers were stopping people on skateboards and he said he saw no reason why there should be that many officers in one place. Upset with change of address instituted by HAND to standardize addresses in her block for emergency purposes.
This complaint is against Fountain Park Apts., Building Q. The voltage is too high, there are matches laying around, termites are eating up the bark. The fire dept. phoned this over to us, as she approached them first.

Mr. Dunphy owns 114 E 19th St, His neighbor, the "Clogbuster plumber" has piled 2 tons of rocks in front of Mr. Dunphy's front steps. He cannot get into his house.
